The
Photomedicine Society - General Information
The Photomedicine Society was established in 1992 to promote
a greater understanding of the scientific and medical aspects of light
in health and disease. The Society is composed of physicians, photobiologists,
physicists, and students involved in photomedicine from medical practice,
scientific research, government agencies, and industry.
Membership is open to individuals
with an interest in photomedicine. The interests of our membership are
broad and include the following areas:

The Society convenes
a day-long Annual Scientific Meeting,
usually held just prior to the annual meeting of the American Academy
of Dermatology.
The official journal of the Society is Photodermatology,
Photoimmunology, & Photomedicine.
The Society is operated by its membership through the Board
of Directors and Executive.
